It's a special day today for a couple of reasons. First it's the opening day of baseball ( my god already). In fact thats what I'm doing right now is half assed watching the game. But to me the most important reason today is special is that it's someones birthday.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY RAYMI !!!!!!!!!!!
That's it for now.

I'm getting tired of the way my posts have been on this blog of mine. You know the i got up, went outside, came back in and sat before my computer, then went to bed. This being mostly due to living in a small town in the middle of nowhere Kansas with nothing more to do then stand around waiting for the tornado to come by and sweep me away to Oz so that I might join Dorothy and Toto. So tonight I decided to try my hand at a little more thought provoking post.

I came up with the idea for this post while perusing another very good site MAD PONY I came across tonight. On their site they had a good photo essay dealing with how George W missed up their spring break. If you get a chance and haven't seen the photo essay I recommend you take a little time visit the site and check it out.

Well seeing her talking about George W got me to thinking about what is happening right now, yes the WAR. I really hadn't planned on writing about this war, but every where you turn it's throw in your face and kind of hard to avoid.

You know what, eff it, I don't want to turn this into a political blog, so I just threw that nice long post I had in mind out the window. My apologies to the poor unsuspecting guy who happened to be walking by when I did. Your headache will only last a little while. Instead I'll just say this I think George W is doing what he wanted to all along and with the shape our country is ending up in I don't believe he will be elected to a second term. Like father....like son!!!

With that said.......
.....I got up had my coffee and shower. Went outside to watch the grass grow, two hours of observation and not a hint of progress ( who knows maybe i'm growing the wrong grass). Ate lunch. Went back out in hopes this is the day of the tornado and that wild ride to the land of lil people and witches. Damn no luck, still stuck in Kansas. Came back in sat in front of my computer, downloaded some new music, wrote this post and now i,m just waiting for it to be time to go to bed. Ok that's it for now.

Woke up this morning at 6:30 and couldn't get back to sleep. Damn didn't my body know it's saturday. So I gave in got up and had my morning coffee and shower. Then decided it was about time to go down and get something done with this hair of mine, what little I have left of it anyhow. So off to the barber shop I went with plans of grocery shopping on the way home. So anyhow with my haircut finished I'm heading towards the door when the barber decides he wants to talk about collecting things. So I stand there at the door giving the normal uh huh, wow and yeah I know answers. All the while thinking how do I get out of here so I can get to the grocery store. Finally I got out of there and got my shopping done. And on the way home I stopped and snapped this pic of a lake in town. As I've said before its been dry around here that lake used to be full. Now you can walk across it in spots and hardly get your feet wet.

Turn the TV on and odds are you are going to see the war in progress. I really don't think I like the idea of all this TV coverage of the war. Seems to me like it is almost as though they are glorifying the act of war, soon it will become commonplace and all to easy to keep going to war. I am not totally against war, sometimes you have to defend your land or what you think is right( on this war that choice is yours, I offer no opinion on that matter). The only opinion I have is I think we are carrying this war coverage a bit to far. That's it for now.

I decided that this morning would be a do nothing morning. Why, because I can and I am. Wait.....there that's better, just turned the volume down on the TV now I can think. Besides I had it on CNN listening to the babble about the war. And really after five minutes of that you have usually heard all you can stand. So what did I do on this morning off I have taken. Well after getting up at 8:00 I had my usual one cup of coffee while checking my e mail. Of course in my case this usually involves deleting a bunch of junk mail. Then it was off for a nice long shower. After which I sat down to visit sites on the net. I went to sites, some of which I visit multiple times a day, some I might only visit once a day and then searched out new sites. Some of those sites are the ones I have listed in my side bar which are Raymi's, Anti's, and Jamie's. These are the ones I will pop in on many times over the course of a days time. Two other sites that I find interesting and entertaining and try to visit at least once a day are Trueboy, and Bettegirl. And I now have found another site to add to my list of reads and that is Tony Pierce's. It may be a new find for me but I know this site has been around for quite a while and is very popular. What can I say sometimes I'm a slow fuck haha. I guess the point of my post here is that if you are looking for something to do, something to read, or good pictures to look at you defiantly cannot go wrong by visiting these sites. But be forewarned, have plenty of time on your hands when you do visit them because they will draw you in in such a way that you will easily lose track of time.......they are that good.

Oh shit its 12:30 think I'll go get me something to eat. That's it for now.

Do you ever wish you could turn off your mind? I'm not talking about our brains, but rather that entity that resides in our brain whose sole function it seems at times is to create havoc and get us in trouble when we let it. Something to think about. Let me know what you think.

The brick front building on the corner is the bar my folks ran for about 10 years. I even worked there a while.

Hey theres a war going on, sure you say where the hell have I been its been going on for a week now. No I know that war has been going on for a week now....this war was going on in the back of my head. Yes almost the Mother of all Headaches.... almost. Pounding head ears ringing and if I didn't know better I'd swear someone set off a nuke in the back of my head. Give me aspirin, took it, tylenol tried it. Hell I've even called in Henry Kissinger to negotiate a cease fire for me. And I think Henry's done the trick it not as bad as it was an hour ago. Don't know what caused it, I just know I hope I don't ever get another one like this. That's it for now. This is me reporting from the cranial battlefield signing off.

Ahhh I sense spring is in the air. At least it has been these last couple of days with this nice warm weather we've been having. In fact things are starting to turn green again, leaves are forming on the bushes, yes sure signs spring is here. But along with spring and things turning green come thoughts of haveing to get out and do yard work. So yeah it will soon be tme for lawn mowing planting flowers and the like. Ok so lawn mowing anyhow, flowers cost to much for this brown thumb to buy, plant and watch wither away. oh well I'll worry about that a little ways down the road it's still not quite time for all that. Think I'll just enjoy the nice weather for now. that's it for now.

Yard Art......errrr well yard something anyhow.

So sunday has come and gone, it tried to turn into a typical sunday but I managed to sneak in some plans and actually do something. My brother from Colorado was down for the weekend with his family, and my sister drove in from Topeka as well ( oh yeah she also brought her family along aptly refered to as the wild bunch). So the plan was for us all to meet over at my other brothers house here in town for a BBQ. Well it was supposed to be a BBQ anyhow, however what we ended up doing was ordering pizza instead. After a little visiting, eating pizza and watching a little war I left them to do their gossiping and headed back to my place. There you have it my exciting sunday.

Ok, so how in the hell are we supposed to practice air-raid black out conditions if somebody keeps forgetting to shut the door and pull the curtains. I mean really people.

My brother about ready to give us a demonstration of his ability to turn his hand into a cat claw cushion.

OK OK so the photo quality isn't that great this time.....so shoot me already.hahaha

It's official now the war has started. And what a wonderful crazy world we live in. You don't need to join the military to see war anymore. All one needs to do is turn on the television and lo and behold your right in the middle of the action. One can't help but wonder if this isn't a case of over-kill. Do we really need to be exposed to all this? Do we really need to in the middle of the action? Of course I know there are people who kinda live for this kind of stuff. So maybe thats the only answer, since the techonology is there they are going to show and its up to each individual as watch it or not. I for one don't want it full time so therefore its get out the CD's and turn off the tv. That's it for now.

So its been a fairly busy and hetic week so far. Some good things happening some not so good. The good thing that happened is that I have made a sale in this wholesale retail business I am starting. And with more sales to come looking very promising. The not so good thing has to deal with banks, which right now I cannot and don't really want to get into.

One good thing is that its raining finally. I know that sounds crazy to act happy that it's rainy and dreary out. But we have been so dry lately that this rain is a welcome sight. Well that's it for now.

Just me messing around with my new digi-cam.

Ok I know I have been ignoring my site lately. Its been somewhat of a busy time.

so it looks like its going to happen after all, George W. is going to get his way. As if we didn't know this all along. I know most people have been avoiding talking about this subject of war. Myself being one of those people. But now that we are on the brink of war its hard to ignore. Especially since I have a brother who will be involved in this little action that is about to start. I don't really have much to say on the subject right now maybe later. However I know that now that this is going down, it is not the time to turn a blind eye on the situation. Too many things can happen to fast, and as we have already learned, we are not as safe in this country as we used to be. So all I have to say now is we need to keep a serious eye out and be careful. That's all for now.

p.s. I wanted to post some pictures but my server is being an asshole and not letting me upload any right now. Hopefully later.

Sitting here on this nice Sundy morning contemplating on the things I want to get accomplished today. There is plenty for me to do however the nice weather outside may make a little harder to do. That and being a little tired. Stayed up late(2am) last night and ended up waking up at 6:30 this morning and couldn't get back to sleep. Oh well maybe I'll take a nap later on.

While making one of my frequent visits to Raymi's site I came across a link to a site belonging to Jennifer, Bettiegirl.com. So I went over to check it out, and I must say she has put together a good site. While over checking out her site I came across a quote she had put on her site that really stood out, which is "When we are motivated by goals that have deep meaning, by dreams that need completion, by pure love that needs expressing, then we truly live life." - Greg Anderson. I saw this and thought wow what a quote to keep in mind to get and keep you going.

That's it for now. Maybe more later on.

Here it is half way through the weekend already. And surprisingly the weather has been very spring like these last couple of days. Hopefuly that means that spring and warmer weather will be here to stay soon. Although the word is out that we are supposed to be getting rain the first part of the week. Which is ok we need the moisture, just as long as it doesn't turn colder again. I need to get out roaming around sometime soon and get some more pictures taken. Maybe I'll do that tomorrow. That's the update from here today, it's back to work for me.

I heard a news story that once again reminded me that there are some stupid people in this world. And it seems as though the dimmest of these light bulbs are the ones who choose to do something illegal. My proof being this news story I heard, which involved a drug bust on the highway just outside of town. The police stopped and searched this car and ended up finding over 200 pounds of weed in the car. Now for the stupid part, the car was stopped for speeding. Yeah, had they just been doing the speed limit they would still be going down the highway. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe it takes an I.Q. of 1000 to figure out that if you are going to transport something like drugs down the road, the last thing you should want to do is draw attention to yourself. Like I said there are some stupid people out there. That's it for now.

It's the start of a new week and I'm trying to stay busy working on some business ventures. Thought I would take a small break to update and show I haven't abandoned this little blog of mine. Not much exciting happening lately because the weather went to shit and I didn't feel like getting out in it. That and I've been trying to stay busy. Oh, here are a couple more shots I took on my trip to Toronto. Back to work. That's it for now.

Finally the weather is somewhat decent, well anyhow it's better then it has been the last couple of days. Was sitting here taking a break from the projects I've been working on and was just thinking. For some reason my mind wandered to the subject of perfection. Now I'm the first to admit that I am far from perfect, as a matter of fact I'm glad I'm not perfect. For if I was perfect then there would be nothing left to strive for. And I would hate to think that the way it is today is as good as it could ever be. So I continue to strive for perfection letting it stay just out of my grasp. That's it for now.

Wow, today has been kinda like a lazy day for me. Oh, don't get me wrong I did manage to get some work done. It's just that after I got up this morning and took my shower I didn't even bother to get dressed. Ok so I know what you are thinking and no I didn't run around nude all day, though hummm. The reason I was like this today is it was so cold and slick out that I knew I wouldn't be going out anyhow. I was told by ANTI that I need to get one of those audio blog thingys. who knows maybe I will. That's it for now.

The ice man cometh.
Yes its been one of those dreary slippery don't go out of the house unless you have iceskates on type of days. We have been getting freezing rain most of the day. Ice is everywhere, though thank goodness it hasn't been bad enough to knock the electricity out. Now that would fucking suck. Not to mention if that happened it would turn my abode into a giant walk-in freezer.

Ahhhh my ride a '96 LINCOLN ICE CUBE. That's all for now.

Sunday is slowly fading away bringing to an end another weekend. Although since I no longer have a got get up and go to job, it is sometimes hard to tell what day of the week it is. I got up this morning and had to run to the store. After finishing there I decided to take a drive out into the country just for the hell of it. Sometimes it can be nice to drive in the countryside, its peacefulness kind of slows down the fast pace we can get ourselves into every now and the. While atop this hill ( yes I said hill, contrary to popular belief the Kansas plains are not flat as a board, there are hills here too) I took a couple of pic's overlooking this fair town I live in. After that it was back home and some more work to get done. That's it for now.

Ok so it seems to be getting closer and closer to official, I'm dying a slow death here in blog world. Slipping into obscurity, into nowhereness. That or I've put the whole world to sleep. Noone seems to stop in anymore, not even briefly. Well that little burst of semi-notoriety, of which I know came only because I was linked by certain popular people is slipping away into an endless void of time. Soon I fear I will be swallowed up by some huge black hole which lurks in this blogger universe we seek to exist in. However don't take this as a sign I'm giving up. Oh no just the oppisite it's going to make me work harder to develope a stlye and excitement all my own. I do keep reminding myself I didn't get into this for fame or notoriety, so it really shouldn't bother me that noone comes along to see this. I will leave the fame and notoriety to those with the talent for it, such as RAYMI, ANTI and JAMIE. Like I said I am not giving up I'm not going away that easily, I will keep pluggin along. That's it for now.

Well that's the way it's been for me lately. Lot of plans and a bunch of ideas to check on I just want to keep on it. And you know I am enjoying being this busy. It's almost as though I am running on a perpetual speed rush. And I haven't even taken anything!!! Gonna end for now still have some things I want to get done before I force myself to bed.
